Are Planeswalkers good?

People at my old school (ORLA) thought planeswalkers were the best cards in the world. But they actually aren't because of these reasons:

1. They can be countered VERY EASILY. Especially by this card:

2. They can easily be destroyed by creatures with Trample. They can also easily destroyed if your opponent is outnumbered by ONE creature. As long as you have creatures that are at least 3/3's, your opponents planeswalker will easily be destroyed.

3. If you're playing someone who is using a blue deck, you might be too afraid to play the planeswalker.
